Listen nigs, im new and i checked the sticky but the sites linked don't have the pentax me super or the pentax k1000 so im coming here

and i know, you probably hate me but please dont fuck me up

just tell me, which should i get and if im buying something from ebay, how do i know if the seller is selling my something that ill have to get repaired?

please help, i would appreciate it so much, also if there are other cameras in the same price range and better please tell me

That's the risk you run with ebay. Honestly, if it's too good to be true it usually is. But also, keep in mind that you can check verified sellers with reputable ratings. Or feel free to check keh.com, collectiblecameras.com or even amazon and see who the sellers are there.

On the second part of your question, nearly all old SLR cameras are identical in how they work. If you have no lenses, you will be open to use any of the brands.

Check out the canon AE-1 or AE-1 program, they have the metal top and bottom like the K-1000 and are excellent cameras all around.

Here is an incomplete list of the most popular brand's that made them, look for 35mm manual slr to get this sort of camera:

-Pentax (Best value, high quality, and durable cameras with an amazing range of lenses)
-Nikon (Very high quality cameras and lenses and durable but EXPENSIVE)
-Canon (Pretty good cameras, good lenses, weird design and usage on some cameras)
-Olympus (Extremely high quality compact cameras with great lenses at a decent price)
-Konica (Pretty mediocre cameras (Still doing their job well), the lenses are literally the best in the world, a person wanting highest image quality will use konica hexanon lenses)
-Minolta (Cheaper but high quality still, cameras are ok, but lenses are very very good)
-Praktica (East German cameras of high quality and durability, high quality lenses of ZEISS design! A bit old fashioned, I love them, very cheap today!)
-Fujica (Oddball cameras, still nice though with high quality lenses)

There's a seller who's giving out an ME Super with 4 different lenses including a range of filters and a flash for around 80 dollars

Should I go for it?

Well, I've checked the range on the ME Super and have seen it going (on amazon) from around 75 - 120 usd so I reckon 80 for the camera and 4 lenses would be a great deal...that is IF the camera is in fact in working condition. The last thing you'd want is something like (for example) to have a broken shutter that's not worth repairing so you end up with a paperweight. Again, its your money and you wouldn't want to piss it away, even if it's a mere 80 dollars. Please do make certain you check your seller reviews and what not before you decide to purchase. Too bad you don't live in the vicinity of actual used camera stores so you could see the product first hand.

Well not necessarily. I mean, its a thing where if there were some obvious problems like light leaks or damage to your sensor, those problems would be quite easy to ascertain from the photos but on the flip side remember some people simply take poorly composed images and might think the camera's at fault when it comes down to user experience/error, etc OR when someone takes nice photos and a person might assume that it's "good" because they have a "good" camera. Hope that makes sense.
