>>2689201>>2689210>>2689211This feedback is a little sloppy.
I'm commenting on the value proposition - but can't comment on whether it was achieved. Nor can you.
There are some nice things about the camera.
We don't know how fast the AF is yet - but there is no reason that contrast based AF can't be as good as phase or hybrid. So wait and see on that. If it's as claimed, then it's a good thing.
All midrange FF cameras have very good sensors. They appear to use the Sony platform. It's excellent. 24MP is perfect.
Size is irrelevant on the lens front. They clearly didn't design this as a compact system. Based on the R zooms, and tri-elmar, I think we can predict the formula basis for this zoom. I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that we see monsters from an image quality standpoint.
Please don't use future possibility of obsolescence as a critique of a new system.. It's terribly lazy. That EVF is very good to use. Better than the Sony A7 ones, which are also very good to use.
>appropriate throat diameter for FFSony fucked themselves with E-mount. Makes lens design a little difficult, and we're seeing that in execution.
I'm sure that there will be some things that people don't like about the system - and any drawbacks will just be used to complain harder about the price point. that's how it goes with these things.
You seem to want to hate everything about this camera. Like anything positive one can say about it burns your psyche a little. That's fine if it's your bag to be that way.
