Aperture is of course your main trade-off with this Tamron. Outdoor daylight only for moving subjects.
I think it's a great all around long range zoom for intermediate hobbyists and budget conscious. Particularly considering the next step up in quality is thousands of dollars more. Even if I had a 600 f/4, i would still keep this lens around just because of the versatility of the zoom range.
