These are nice snaps documenting your vacation, but beyond that they are boring to me as a viewer. You obviously can expose correctly and know your way around the technical aspects of a camera. Next step is improving your compositions. Sorry if my comments come across as harsh. Like I said, technically you did well. Beyond that there isn't much though. I don't like the term snapshot but that's really what the are. The succeed in showing where you went but not in an intriguing or creative way.
>>2845504There's nothing to look at. There's no real composition going on here and no subject. There are no paths for my eyes to take through the photo and nothing for my eyes to rest on.
>>2845506This one has a promising start in terms of composition. The curves from the bottom right to top left and center are nice. However, the small rocks in the foreground are really gimmicky and unnecessary. I wish you panned up more to get the top of the canyon on the right. The light is super flat as well which isn't helping.
>>2845507Again, no real thought to the composition. Looks like you just aimed the camera at the stars and fired.
>>2845508Again, just a photo of a deer. I don't really know how to critique this type of shot. It's a basic photo of a deer. Do something to make it special.
>>2845511Cool idea, there's a bit of creativity! I don't like where the light is placed though. It's so static. Walking up to the hill on the right a bit and placing it so it looks like it's just creeping over the point where the background hills and foreground hill merge could have been pretty cool. I like the exposure and how the clouds look.
>>2845513Okay composition. Your light is super flat though. If you're going to do light painting walk away from the camera and shine it from a different angle. Light painting from next to the camera gives the same effect as an on camera flash does which is light that flattens the image and gives no definition.
