Most photos you see anywhere besides instagram are shot below f/4, because people working to put things into their frame generally want people to be able to see them.
Also, at at 230mm, at f/6.7, with a subject 25 feet away, your focal plane is literally one foot front to back.
At 35 feet, it's only two feet, front to back.
So if you're bokeh whoring, you aren't very good at it.
If you're LIGHT whoring, you're also showing your newness, because most people tend to shoot things that you'd need 345mm for outside, in the daylight.
