Been a while since i posted so here is thread help that. Ive been trying to add subjects to my stuff like you guys say.

Ive actually been trying to stray away form night shots for a while and do something different, and i recently visited the Arches in Moab, Utah.

last one, again, i know the subjects are boring, you only see the backs of them, but i do plan on paying a friend to model some night shots for me, but itll be a while

This one is fantastic. It stands out like crazy. Shoot people more, although your landscapes are alright too, but sort of boring (I think it's just my personal taste for photos). Also really like the one in the OP. These two sort of tell a really vague story for themselves. It's not that easy to achieve that effect but you really did it on these two.

Also you're making me want to get a GR.. And I never felt that before, so that's something.

wow thanks man, it was a little awkward taking that shot, i saw the stairway and how well lit it was, but then realized it was lacking a figure, and i saw 2 kids playing outside, and politely asked them to hold hands and stand at the top of the stairs, then i had to explain to their parents, it was weird man

yeah i loved the way everything was looking that night too. The orange ground with the almost glowing blue sky. I am totally inspired by Alex Burke and the way he processes/tones his landscapes

You should never be afraid to direct people to get the photo you want. People usually don't mind, and it's something I've been trying to do more too. A lot of fun, and it gives you a reason to talk to people (idk if you're into that)

really black blacks. Whites are just before the point of blown. It feeels like the splotches of brightness are a bit out of place.

Cant say I could do any better though, and I wouldnt say it looks bad either.

Yeah dodging and burning are things i really need to practice on, which is why i gave that one a go, i was trying to add leading lines for the eyes, but i probably went overboard

well keep at it. It drew my attention, and probably quite a few others' too. You gotta start with a solid photo before you can pull of any editing. You got a solid photo to start with.
