Does it matter? It's a popular and entertaining show despite the abilities of the people running it. I could care less how good he is honestly. I watch it for their opinions on photography, just like I watch Top Gear for their opinions on cars.

Oh fuck you. I watched Wong Kar Wei's Chungking Express about twenty years ago, and none of the actors spoke with a phony baloney wannabe Mr. Bean British accent.
I've watched just about every early John Woo picture when he was making Hong Kong gangster flicks, I never heard any British cuckoldry.

He's an ok photographer and is really experienced but I'd say he's not anything amazing

I mean the point of the photos he takes on the show are to show what the camera can do but at the same time he's a decent enough photographer to make the photos somewhat entertaining and interesting to look at, compared to some reviewers who take a boring photo of their kids or their cat that they've taken 10,000 times with 10,000 different cameras
