Apologies if this should have gone in the gear thread, thought it could be ok as it is a popular (/meme depending on your stance) camera.

Few days ago chucked a new battery in my T2 only to find that when I tried to turn it on all I heard was quick clicking noises, lens didn't extend or anything. Theres a bit out there on the internet but no actual definitive answers,hopefully thought you guys might. Not afraid of a bit of DIY
