If I learned anything from that trip, it's that the italians take the insides of their churches pretty seriously - the outsides - not so much.
So many dipalidated outside walls with pristine insides, felt really wierd. Also, churches, churches everywhere. Every-fucking where. Every tiny little 5-30 house village on a hilltop - a church. No exceptions.
