Not bad but somehow with digital you don't get quite the same painterly look.

Once digital cameras can offer the same bit depth as a digital scanner its all over for film.

And when will that happen? I would welcome it because film is a pain in the ass and expensive. But with digital I just can't get the look right no matter what. And I've yet to see anyone else manage it so it can't be just my lack fo skills.
