Hey boys, just got my first DSLR. Bought a lightly used Canon EOS 350D from a photographer friend for $150, it's in amazing condition, with an 18-55mm lens. How'd I do?

He inflated the price by about a third, unfortunately.

Here's a listing for a 500D (many improvements over the 350D) for the same price:

i got one in 2012 (rabal xt) and it wasnt so bad. paid like $220 usd for it used off amazon then immediately got the 50mm 1.8, which i recommend, just toss that 18-55, seriously put that in a box somewhere and forget you even own it.
i bricked mine trying to put some sort of CHDSK or something like that. dont fuck with them, just shoot with it

It's fine. Don't worry about the camera just go out and use it and keep using it. If it helps your photography to grow and improve then it was worth it.

But if you don't use it no camera is worth $150

350d gives kind of sad colors, sometimes it looks amazing (imo). I took this little snapshit with my 350d, and it's not processed at all.
