>>2963749>>2963749my next best was the fm2, the fm3a is a better camera but i didnt really see a reason for paying twice as much for 2 more features, and trust me the leica is a great camera, and i might still get one someday but i really didnt want one because the price
also all these bullshit leica users like eric kim and shit talk about the leica as if it makes them a better photographer like "oh its all about the leica philosophy" and "it atttaches you to the subject" but honestly its really just some psycological aspect that they circle jerk to, i mean i have seen photographers who use 50 dollar cameras and theyre better than any modern m6 shooter ive ever seen
also all that shit they talk about with rangefinders where its all "oh the rangefinder is useful because you can see outside the frame and focusing is so fast" ive owned and shot with several rangefinders, and honestly you will never ever look outside the framelines because you should be focusing whats inside the framelines and focusing with a rangefinder is god awful, first of all you only have this tiny little area to actually focus with, which means you have to center the subject to focus on one (which subsequently makes you less subtle if shooting street or something) and if its slightly dark, a moving subject, or a strong pattern you wont be able to focus accurately
in all honestly my complaints are mostly about rangefinders but the leica is just a really fucking good rangefinder, of course youre getting god tier build quality and god tier lenses but other than that you really have no benefit (other than having an extremely beautiful camera)
honestly if its something that will last years then get a leica, its real heirloom material
