So yeah, it's not hard, just stop buying booze/fancy food/drugs/cars/etc. I never got a loan or any handouts and on the rare occasion i need a financial boost I've charged £1200 a day without complaint.
Don't turn up to a shoot with a knackered old crop body, no one will take you seriously. Focus on photography you can afford, weddings and portrait need a 70-200 2.8, architecture and interiors can be done with a much more affordable 12-24 and you don't even need to work fast.
