I know this kind of protest (stationary, without much emotion) is hard to shoot, but you gotta get yourself involved and pay huge attention for your surroundings. It isn't the type of rally that will practically give you free photos (like the violent ones...), but this type of rally has its moments. You almost got something here

Challenge yourself to use your wide angle lens as you're trying to use your 85mm. Get yourself close to moments like

Aside from that, you need to work on some basic stuff, like backgrounds (see
