I'm not new to Photography. I currently shoot Nikon. But was wondering, is Sony the most versatile? Since the low flange distance makes it possible to equip almost any lens from any company does that make it better? I am not bothered about if it's a DSLR or mirrorless. Just wondering what camera I can buy that allows me to pick up any lens and use it.

It's not that important. Any brand has enough lenses (both modern and old manual ones) and their prices are pretty much the same, so don't obsess over this.

Honestly probably Sony or Fuji. The mirrorless flange distance means you can put virtually any lens on as long as an adapter exists for that mount.
Makes them a bit of a "Jack of all trades, master of none" though, since the AF adapters for mounts like Nikon's F and Canon's EF are painfully slow.
