My dad was a surveyor and had a small collection of Leitz theodolites. They're pretty cool, but highly impractical and not better optically than a decent pair of binoculars.

I've been running the gun for 4 years now and i for one welcome our new gps overlords.

Not a camara or a theodolite. Theodolites are purely optical. This is a totalstation-measures
distance/ elevation with IR beam. Has an optical viewfinder.
