>>2998441To be fair this is how I answer when people ask me "why I shoot Nikon". I mention sensor performance, which hey my D810 has great performance, but it's not like the Canon is a terrible camera, it's just not as good at what I wanted to do with mine. There's no objectively superior camera, it depends on your needs.
Originally, I went for Nikon only partly because I was undecided between the D5100 and T3i, a Digital Rev video showed that the Nikon edged out the Canon a bit in noise performance. I mainly wanted to get my hands on something that wasn't Canon, because Canon was the de-facto brand and I wanted to see how the other half lived. I didn't give a fuck about the Canon vs. Nikon shit back then, and I certainly don't now.
