It started from the fact that I wanted to have a nice camera to take pictures with on my upcoming Japan vacatoin; I have a nexus 5 and the camera's pretty bad; among other factors
I decided on a budget, and realized that a mirrorless one won't be as good as a DSLR in the same budget, image quality wise (which I still believe). Almost got a D5300
Then a friend of mine lent me his D5100 for a few days to get an idea. I realized after 3 days that I'd never feel like dragging that thing around for taking pictures, at least not as an absolute beginner; something smaller, lighter was needed
Almost got an E-PL7 because that was the only thing within budget that I liked. The A6000 was over, and it also looked...plastic-y, I dunno, didn't attract me. I also saw some anon post some very nice picture from another E-PL5 and they were really pretty and he seemed so excited
Then I found this really nice deal on the om10, literally the last in stock and cheaper than anywhere else, so here I am desu
It has its drawbacks (as I discovered here >
>>3014758) but I still think it was the best decision in my situation.
What lens do you have anon? that's my next concern lol
