Will this work fine with a Fujifilm XT1? I just need it to trigger the flash when I take a shot, I will set the flash power manually

if you have a hot shoe it will work
however if fuji paints it or coats it like sony you will need to scrape that shit off

It has a hot shoe, for what reason (and where) do you need to scrape the paint off?? I mean, I see the image but is it just a size issue???

the inside bit that is highlighted red for wizards
for some flashes it could be the underside of the top bit of the shoe

it is so the wizard or flash can ground to the shoe. think on it like shoe ground / centre pin hot
