Yesterday there was a "Lätare" march in front of my house, so I went out to take some shots. People celebrate that half of the Lenten period is over and spring has started.
The Palatinate tradition is that kids do a play during which they defeat winter, which ends in a fire on the market place symbolically burning winter.
