I was told by someone who was discussing photography with a peer today that Adobe Lightroom by itself is free software and when I asked him to repeat that he said it was because one condition of the sale to Adobe by the original developers was to make this software free. Yet whenever I go to the website I just see "Get Adobe Lightroom as part of Adobe Photoshop". So was this guy lying?

And if this software was free then where is the download link?
