So as a guy, I need to take 6 self portraitures in order to make myself look as attractive to women as possible The first and the last of these pics have to be the best.

What are some tips you have for taking self portraitures or making yourself the subject?

I dont view self portraits as something thats solely meant to attract the opposite sex. But if thats your think then fine.

Regardless in selfies or straight on/face forward pictures, you should always work your angles and good side, tilt your face, get a jawline shadow, do anything to accentuate the features you think are attractive.

I figured at least one in a suit. I am thinking one playing baseball, or at least looking like I am playing baseball. I also need to befriend a manlet to make my 5'9" look as tall as possible. As of right now pics with my one friend who is an asian girl and is 5'8" I don't think are helping.

if you dont have friends or dont want to involve friends you could always put on a self timer.

I dont think guys are ""supposed"" to take selfies as in front facing camera style selfies, but I do it all the time. But then again Im fairly androgynous so maybe it works.

If you dont wanna do that theres always the mirror shot or something from somewhere cool (art museum whatever) to show youre ""interesting""

Yea I was thinking self timer with the 50mm and a tripod. Biggest Issue I could think of would be off camera flash because would be hard to set that up without a second tripod and idk if any of my friends know enough about how to camera not to fuck that up

No its what happens when I had to do a project for intro to photography without owning a flash in the woods at night using an 18mm lens on a crop body and lighting with flashlights.

Had a similar situation today. I stacked 2 cardboard boxes on top of each other and put my camera on top. Used remote live shooting on my phone. Getting the focus right was a little tricky. I didn't really have much choice regarding light or background since I live in a shitty university dorm room, but in the end it turned out okay. Point is, it's really easy.

Basically just find a flattering angle, have decent light (natural is fine), and shoot wide open for that dreamy look. I'm assuming you're using a lens suited for portraiture. If you're uggo it'll look cringey as fuck, so be careful with your facial expressions.
