>>3074630You're a newbie, right?
You look at sony mirrorless, why?
Because they use an evf, which will give you an exact preview of your shot as you change settings, so you can learn the exposure triangle exponentially faster and get the shots you want straight away. Ovf, as found on a dslr is just a fancy window, and you need to use your education and experience to get the right settings for your shot, also the viewfinder will be much smaller and not be able to magnify an area so you nail focus or have focus peaking.
Sony mirrorless also let you cheaply adapt any lens from any camera on to it, meaning you can use high quality prime lenses from yesteryear to get great quality photos without breaking the bank. A dslr can't do this due to it's much longer flange distance.
A second hand sony a7 is a fantastic and affordable full frame option, the only area it really lacks is autofocus performance and battery life (about 400 shots per battery).
To narrow down your options
Full frame or crop? (Full frame has less noise at high iso, more bokeh and gives sharper photos, but is more expensive)
Is autofocus performance critical? the a7ii, a6300, a6500, a7sii and a7rii all have MUCH better af performance, especially if you want to use an af adapter for canon lenses.
How much do you want to spend?
The a6000 can be had for under $400, the a9 is over $4000.
