This is something that always makes me think a bit, in the theatre of creativity -- what does it mean to have one's own style or theme? I fear that if it had a strong theme, that would mean I was always doing the same thing. Shooting the same subjects, or shooting at the same time of day, or repeating the same gimmick, whatever it may be, in most or all of my photos. And I do think it's lame when I see that, in music or photography or painting. When someone is a one-trick pony.
I don't even think I have one good trick anyway, but if I did, I'd still try to do different things so as not to become one dimensional.
But then, I imagine you have a different conception of what it would mean to have one's own style, or to feature an underlying theme. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.
