>>3084868 (OP)>>3084949That can certainly happen on certain lenses, particularly when doing CDAF. They may just be the most defined edges the camera can detect and focus on - so it will.
It only very rarely happens with multi-point PDAF though - kinda hard to have the scratches in all the right places. Usually it'll just focus on "nothing" if the scratches are even in the right positions for it to mis-detect anything.
Either way, once your lens is that scratched it's generally nice to just replace it. I'll also suggest doing the obvious and more systematically use a lens cover the next time.
