Digital 35mm compact when?

The 28mm of the Ricoh GR is too wide for me. But the Fuji X100 is too big to be compact.

The problem is that the digital equivalent to that camera is massive.

To get that small for digital you have to compromise IQ.

The GR's lens doesn't compromise on IQ, it's sharp as fuck. (And yes, it's 28mm eq., but it shows tiny, well-performing optics are entirely possible).
Also let's not forget the Mju II actually had a very mediocre lens, even in its day.

x100 is very compact, have you held one or only seen pics?

I've been very surprised by it, got it in black and so far pretty much no one has noticed me shooting pictures even extremely close due to the leaf shutter.

why not just use a smartphone if you want a tiny sensor and body?
You won't have any subject isolation, your low light performance will be that of a high end smartphone, and the IQ won't be significantly better either.

I prefer 50mm which sucks because I have a X100F. I thought I could change but I can't so I use the digital teleconverter but it defaults back to 35mm every time you turn the fuckin thing off. Someone trade a PEN F with my X100F.

I like the Pen - F and X100F both have the same market of retards who want to be hipsters but are too poor for Leicas

Like I see both of them together always. Never the X pro 2, never a sony, never any other m43. It is always pen f v x100 series

Both fantastic looking and more compact than most.
I'm not too poor for a Leica but I've missed a few shots trying to guess the distance in situations where it was not possible to use the viewfinder or close down the aperture to 16.

Have you actually used 35mm film or are you just retarded enough to assume that it's the same quality as a modern full frame sensor? m43 or even your damn cell phone shits all over the grainy low resolution low ISO garbage that is 35mm color film. Digital is a tremendous step up over what was possible with film point and shoots.
