>>3106482>Shit camera. I had it and it has garbage dr, the battery lasts 20 minutes, and the software is fuckawful to edit. Also, sooc jpegs are shit. i have to echo these statements, and also add that anything over iso 200 is borderline unusable. there is a noticeable and awful red/green shift/tint which is super obvious in any grey areas (like clouds) that just ruins everything (pic related).
i was super stoked about this camera, got one and a few weeks later went out on a month long trip from morocco to london shooting with it. i knew about the awful battery life so i carried 3 batteries with me whenever i went out, which would all be dead by the end of the day. no big deal really as im used to shooting with film, so i just treated each battery like a roll of film (ridiculous, i know, but i really stretched hard to justify this camera's quirks because i really wanted to like it). and i cant stress how awful the proprietary raw software is to use. its abysmal.
in the end, i dont like to blame my equipment for my failings, but i barely got a single shot i liked out of the entire trip. the camera was just so uninspiring to use. it was like i was constantly fighting it. night photography is a complete no-go with this thing, which is where i like to do 90% of my photography. if youre literally only taking pictures in daytime with abundant light at iso 100 you may get some use out of it, but even then that's a big if. anything indoors is going to be terrible. the af is slow and clunky and theres no usable manual focus to speak of.
my 2 cents: skip it and get a ricoh gr.
