>>3112016If I'm going to bother carrying a camera around that can't fit in my pocket, I might as well be shooting at least 6x4.5. Just my personal preference.
>>3112018It actually is quite a bit smaller depth wise. The retracting lens of the GA series makes a considerate difference. Here's a picture of it compared to a Mamiya 6 with the lens retracted (try to imagine the 6 without the lens hood). I used to own a Mamiya 6, the GA is definitely more compact than either of Mamiya's RF offerings.
>>3112019I mean, sure. How that would affect final camera dimensions and price tag, who knows. I imagine if they didn't do it it's because it would have had a negative impact on one of those things. The slow lens is my main gripe with the camera.
>>3112025I know I'm shilling the Fuji GAs hard, but I think it'd be a shame to have your first medium format experience be one. They really are just like big point and shoots. If you really want a 6x6 RF, I can't recommend the Mamiya 6 enough. Stellar camera and one I used for travel for years.
>>3112028I'd say 3x as much. Fuji GAs are ~$350 - $450.
