I don't, I bought a decent mirrorless.

And honestly, if it wasn't for everyones ibsistence on the useless super-duper 1080 swivel touchscreens on modern cameras, we could have something as compact as the film SLRs in the old days.

Why did he go out of his way to pick the biggest lens he had for his pen f and then throw a grip on it?

Like sure I like my grip on mine if I am shooting with my voigtlander or 75mm but most of the time I just use the 20mm or 14-42 ez with no grip and have it be way smaller than a sony can be

I don't live in a very professional lifestyle so I'm afforded the ability to always have a kitbag on me, so I don't usually go out without my D7200.

Luckily a few months ago I found a pretty small lens that I really enjoy (28mm 2.8) - y'all said 42mm was a really awkward focal length but I'm really enjoying it.

It was a comparison of equivalent focal lengths and depth of field.

The m43 lens actually fell a little short of equivalent dof.

No, he picked the one that was closest to an equivalent depth of field.

That is actually the second largest 50mm for e-mount. Only the f 1.4 ZA is larger, and there is nothing close to that depth of field in m43. He could have used the much smaller SEL50F18F for example.

It becomes unfair for the m43 if manual focus lenses are included. There are sone absolutely tiny m-mount lenses with absurdly wide apertures that easily cover a FF sensor.

I usually just keep is slung across me on its strap, and keep a spare prime in a fanny pack. I honestly don't care what people think about how it looks, and fanny packs are super handy in general.

I just use a manfrotto camera bag and throw all my shit in that. I have an a6000 and a film lens or 2 so it's not to heavy. A backpack is nice bc it just become a part of you. It's got room for everything else I need, laptop, deodorant, a couple books, etc.

I have a smaller one that I generally use if I just want to bring an alternate lens, which I don't think a lot of people notice, and a much larger one that I can fit 3-4 lenses in, and a handful of other stuff. I generally only bring the larger one if I'll be out for a long time, and don't want to bring a backpack.

Use what you have currently to learn, but if you do decide to invest more money in the future then perhaps you may want to seriously reconsider before buying any deeper into the system. Mirrorless cameras have come a very long way and its all I use now, they're only going to get better and better.

For me its usually just a Fuji X100F or a Ricoh GR II + Sony A7Rii if I need a zoom lens.

I leave my Canon in the car a lot of times in Florida and it works fine.

It might not be so great if you're working 6 hours or more at a job site and never turn on the AC, but it should be fine if you're going to the store.
