As for the pose, someone has mentioned it that it is a feminine pose. A simple google of male poses (doesnt have to be a model either) would do the trick. Try having his arms behind his back and feet apart, both pointing at 45 degrees. Looks like he's a farm boy, give him a tool or something. Make it natural where he is/ or who he is
Be careful of your horizon line as well, it's chopping his head.
