>>3146842I think the best way is to experiment youself. Observe the image, the harsh "sun" light give an epic dimension the the seventh samourai. Imagine the same shoot with a soft and smooth light, the feeling will be totally different. Look at the composition too, it describe the role of each characters. The camera position is at the grass level, who give an impression of greatness, and give a heroic stature to the samourai. The actors stature is important too, Mifune have is hand in his kimono, the sensei have his arm away etc...
