>>3158311I find SLR focusing to be much slower for 2 reasons, 1 the focus throw is usually much longer which can take several twists of the fingers, and 2 most SLRs do not have an index notch. with the Leica, Voigtlander, or Zeiss lenses I have, I set the index lever (or notch) to infinity and pull with my index finger till the split screen lines up.
focus levers work much the same way and love the one I have on my haselblad 80mm, I'm still looking for one for the 50mm
I guess the last thing that I like more about the rangefinder is that a 3 lens kit takes up the same space as my F3 and 50 1.4, sure the lenses are slower but I'm fine with that, got kinda Bokehed out and now looking for big DOF. A slower lens can mean that you get a f11 or even f16 sweet spot, instead of f5.6 on the 50 1.4 or f8 on a 1.8 / f2 lens.
