How does /p/ wear their camera? I need some advice.

I normally like to keep my strap tight and close to my chest as possible so it doesnt bounce around too much, but lately ive been lugging around this heavy SRT201 and it hangs at a 45 degree angle so the metal hotshoe is constantly stabbing me right in the chest.
