Yes, but that film camera is now Bluetooth enabled. The little button on the stick fires the shutter and everything.

Bulk lot of eBay cameras, Arduino my friend didn't want any more, some other spare parts, a beefier battery, trial & error. I decided to start smoking less weed, which consequently means I've been taking fewer photos. I've been giving myself these little projects to fill the time.

I'm mounting a leitz colorplan 90/2.5 on Olympus mount using OM 24/2 bayonet ring, part of a 75-150/4 body, a brass helicoid from Agfa Super Silette and billet exterior. Shown here missing the aperture ring and engravings. Need to order a chinese microscope aperture and a 46-49 step up ring to get metal filter threads..

I keep seeing scanners for basically free at thrift stores and I really want to do this. I doubt I actually have the skill for it though.

I'm seeing a lot of art made by arranging stuff directly on the glass. It looks good and is significantly less work.

I think ppl are looking for a higher end solution with a well corrected large format lens and a matte glass for focusing.. What's the max resolution of a sub-100$ flatbed, can it hit 50 mp?

I think so, you get like 600mb tiff files.

An enlarger lens would work well, I bet. Not sure about focusing though.

Why did the youtube vid's camera produce so stripey images? Is the scanner trying to correct exposure with the lights? Obviously you would have to kill the lights and possibly give it a fake load.. is the sensor in the recent models full width or is it spread out with a lens array? Any that have hacked firmware possibilities?

Only thing a friend of mine, and I did was make a film scanner from a slide projector, and a flatbed. This was before there were any really good scanners for film. We did it strictly for the funz as well, much like making our CCD cookbook camera for astro-photography.

That happened with my old scanner. The sensor and the motors probably get out of sync with age, so the light acquisition is not smooth and uniform anymore but jerky.

I've recently made (or rather destroyed) a broken instax mini camera into a portable processing machine for instax mini that you shoot in other cameras. So I can shoot a sheet in my TLR, put it all into darkbag, load the sheet into the processor and then process the sheet in daylight.
