It is, but I won the glass lottery and my 50 is Zeiss level sharp with the 28 not far behind. Not everyone will get that lucky but I wouldn't trade what I have from now till the end of time.

I did that years ago. Then I stopped shooting for a while, bought back the same digital I had and started shooting again (with both).
Looking back I just want a compact mirrorless desu, my biggest concern with going out shooting was always the size of the dslr.

I am using the 50mm f1.7.

Considered the 1.4 or 1.2, but I don't think it is worth the cost unless I can find one bundled with a body.

Since I have three MD bodies, probably isn't even worth it then.

But we are just switching lenses between two bodies, why fo we need a million shitty adapters instead of just one good one?

And with manual focus assist and focus peaking, you can manually focus almost any lens wide open.

Using a single dead system lenses is clearly the only smart choice for the mirrorless user, but even the finest adapter isn't really gonna cut it, there's an article on lensrentals or whatever about it, that's why I told you about the f/8 thing, and I'm not even sure you'll be ok with it anyway, not a focus problem.

Haven't seen the lensreviews article, but I have seen lots of comparison images from sites like Phillip Reeve. Adapter quality varies a fuckton, and a good one will have no issues shooting under f/8 that I have seen.

How is gearfag film possible?

I use two Olympus om-1. I buy for ¥1100 each because one have a 50mm and other 28mm. Maybe one break and so two is good.

Use good lens and same picture on same film. Camera is nothing.

Maybe one medium format is good to want, maybe compact. Nothing else, really.

got a KNEB 6, RB67, Kodak retinette, 5D classic, oly mju ii, Norca 1, couple of cheap brauns, Super paxette, Yashica lynx 14, Fuji DL80, two canon QL17s, some ricoh compact, minolta 110 compact, pentax spotmatic with 50/1.4 and 28/3.5, ricoh super 10, and probably more.

Im now a recovering film fag, got rid of most of this shit and only regret trading the RB67 cause what i traded it for broke a few months later.

Now all i want, a monorail camera, a koni omega, a 5D mkii, and to keep my yashica lynx 14 and Oly mju ii

This. When I bought my first OM-1 with one lens, I thought I'd never need something else. Now I have a Bronica ETRS and two Mamiya RZ67s. Sad thing is, I still take my best photos with my OM-1, it's just that I can't live without larger prints anymore so 35mm doesn't suffice

You get adapters that are the wrong length so that lens can't infinity focus. Adapters with a poor fit so the lens jiggles and moves an unacceptable amount. And you get adapters with a poor inner coating so that there are reflected light issues.

Honestly, finding a good dumb adapter can be hard. Went through three cheapo m-mount adapters before I gave up and just bought a good one.
