so, i post a picture of your average girl standing next to a truck ad with a ridiculously done-up photoshopped-to-hell stripper plastered larger than life on it. homie says, "hey, you shouldn't shoot people's backs", i say "they both have their backs turned to the camera so it makes sense", homie could have then said "i understand what you're going for, but the poses don't match up exactly and it isn't clear to the viewer" or "i see that, but i think it would have been more successful if she were facing the camera for [INSERT REASON HERE]".
a lot of what gets passed around as critique here isn't actual criticism, it's just someone's reaction, or an attempt to be mean, or an attempt to repeat what they've seen elsewhere on the board in order to sound more sophisticated and with it. that's fine, i've been here for over a decade and I'm used to it. it's just important to understand the difference.
