They are being protected from the urban advancement forward the beach, but the space some people were saving for them are now going away because of costal erosion that are striking the shore... The number of owls I used to photography and to get along with were around 15, today I was able to see only one family, maybe 4 or 5.
I took this one today, and I found myself pretty happy with my 'growth', not only with photography, but with the whole situation.
