>>3174711I completely agree. But you have to admit that, while sony doesn't have the same variety of lenses that canon or nikon do, the new lenses that they're making are pretty damn good, expensive, but good. And I agree about not needing the best camera out there. My first Sony camera was acutally a used sony a7r, which, acording to DXO is still the 7th best camera ever rated. You can buy one right now used on B&H for $1300, which is the same price as a lot of lower resolution crop sensor cameras. In fact, I just did a review on my sony a7r, talking about its issues and benefits of owning it after using it for 3 years
>>3174713>Their bodies don’t look good.I disagree, I think they look cool, retro style. And I get what you're saying about Sony to an extent. But I do disagree that they don't care about photographers or photography. I think for the most part, photographers are about numbers. As much as you hate to admit it, the photography niche now is filled with people that want higher MP numbers, higher DR numbers, more focus points, sharper lenses, and better features. Yeah, maybe sony doesn't have the "character and history behind them, they're doing things by the numbers and giving photographers things that photographers think they want. Don't hate on sony though, if anything, you should be praising their leaps forward because it lights a flame under nikon and canons ass to fucking do something. Nikon, in my opinion has been making better cameras than Canon has lately, but they both make great cameras. So while sony is putting features in cameras like 4k recording in the sony a6300 (I have one, and the overheating fucking sucks) Nikon and Canon will have to do it too eventually, but just in a more polished manner than Sony is doing it.
