>>3180878I took this out today with the 50mm lens on and a roll of film to see what it does. I'll get it developed tomorrow.
Grey, overcast day. So, set at 2.8 and 250 (or 125) and just shoot.
Put things that are sort of like lines and the like on the top third or bottom third, or the cliff edge on the leftmost third and the sea to the right wherever it is because that's where the tide is. That tree on the clifftop sort of fits into the intersection of the left third and top third and the path up to the road is on the right hand side leading to the clifftop.
I think.
Ooh, the dog looks nice backlit against the window. I'll use that to test the 135. And I've one shot left so I'll test the 28 in the Garden with the mutt pottering around.
I also realise I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing with it.
It is completely fucking wasted on a peon like me.
It is still a fucking amazing machine to use. No fucking around. Smooth. Precise. Utterly watch-like, but like a brick at the same time. It'll do what I tell it do to.
For better. Or for far, far worse. I'll post something soon enough.
I expect to be laughed at. I'll probably just end up using it for holidays and the like. But it will get used.
