The larger the aperture the greater the detail you can resolve. The larger the aperture the faster shutter speed you can achieve.
Bad skies equals shitty pictures, regardless of your kit.
For fine detail on the Moon look up the Dawes' limit for your optic. Fine low contrast detail will be better than this. Add the size of your pixel size in microns and work from there.
City dwellers will never get this resolution due to thermal currents. Your milage may vary.
