what's the smallest and lightest body that I can fit this lens onto anyways? one thing I hated about SLRs was the weight and size. I fell for the meme

If portability and lightness is your concern, sell the nikon system plus lens then buy a lightest apsc mirrorless like an apsc meme Sonygger A5100. Or micro four turds like GM1/ GM5 if still available. Or compact cameras like apsc Fuji X70, Ricoh GR or smaller sensors like Panasonic LX100, LX10?, RX100 variants, etc. Check their weight desu. For apsc, GR should win at 245 grams.

The kind of pictures you can get from a D90 is incomparable to something like the Sony Rx100 or alike.

But if you don't want to shoot at that level. Just use your phone and save your money.
