I'm not gonna go gearfag into details, but so far in that focal range I only own cheap primes, so that'd be a significant upgrade, both in terms of quality and flexibility.
I'll probably just go out shooting a couple of times in the next weeks to feel better about it. Plus I just got a new company vehicle with unlimited fuel/mileage, so I can go wherever I want.
But I'm kind of curious, has anybody else got back into it after a hiatus because of gear related stuff?
