I've been saving up for a while now to buy a camera. I finally have enough money scraped together to buy something in the £500-£800 range.

I want to but a camera that shoots really good video over one with great picture capability. This is because I intend to use it for shooting short films. Would this post be better suited to /tv/?

My camera knowledge is honestly not very in depth, so I wanted to ask if anyone on this board has any recommendations for cameras that shoot good video?

I've been recommended the Panasonic GX8 by a trusted friend, but I was looking for other opinions.
