You need Full Frame, crop is just shit, no matter how close results you get. Full frame is full, it is in its name, you just get less image with a crop. You lose information that you could get with a Full Frame A7RIII BSI(tm) Exmor(tm) sensor plus the image is designed for edition right out of the camera!

The pictures, when you got them, would be fine. However, actually getting the pictures will be annoying--autofocusing an adapted Canon lens on a Sony sucks. Don't expect to shoot anything that moves with this combo.

You can use pretty much any lens on any other camera regardless of make or model. It is about using the correct adapter(s). you can even get manual focus and manual aperture adapters for stuff that has all AF.

FF is just the name for the digital equivalent to 35mm, and there are certainly sizes larger and smaller than 35mm film.
