Portfolio making - help

I might have a chance to give a basic photography workshop thanks to my mum shilling me everywhere. They have asked to see a resume kinda thing. My problem is I dont have anything set up for a portfolio and Im not sure how to design it.
Would you all be so kind as to give me a few tips on this?

Nothing, it's a hobby.

Besides, I have a fuckhuge flickr (+10 000 pics). I needed something more curated.

I am trying, which is why I want to get this now.
I fell into a bad state these last couple years and abandoned a lot of things including photography, which was a big thing before. Slowly Im building myself back up

Then add some text to explain what is the "hors champ" of the pictures. Photographers might appreciate to read your Exif and the gear you used too.

Link your flickr to your Tumblr so people who have any interest could see it all. And IDK, but maybe I would merge all your fire photos into a single thread if possible

I feel you :( but take your time to do something that really can represent you. otherwise you could just 'burn' yourself. Happened to me before, and it took a long time to me to get my shit together.

btw >>3191168 I need to make something like you did in your portfolio into mine, select some photos and make a grid with it. When I first made it, I first thought about making a volume. Now I have volume, and everything is a mess, even the background and the whole http being very clean, you need to scroll too much to see everything. :(

they can give you anything you need, and you won't need much atm. They already have presets design, you just change the names and add images

man, what you like, other could not like too much. Select a few you know it can represent your style! Not your favs one, but the ones which gave you some 'credit' about the shot!

As are you lost, select 10 on top and post in single row, to create volume at first! Later, when you're adding content to it, you can now make it grids and stuff

Don't forget to tell other who are you, and how to reach you! How did you learn? what are your motivations? which are your inspirations? Who do you 'follow'? is a good start. And also, a way to they get in touch with you.

and that's it. You can do it in a hour top

Yeah I found this wix website that seems to have some okay templates.
Now, I'm having trouble sorting some, so far I got "landscapes" and "people" as categories, I think that with one more that should be okay for now.
As for the biography thing, I don't have any god self portraits and barely any social media presence... will have to figure that one out soon

What are you planning to work with?

about the bio, you don't need a portrait, I have a feel but I don't use it, just the text to be more clear possible for the whole site. and do not care too much about social media presence, use it as way to approach to your client.

I don't know if it must help, but http://chiereguini.photography is my oficial portfolio, I'm using it as a blog, as way to dump more works more often even than my Instagram, and keeping a direct contact to everyone that could be my client.

it's kinda a mess atm because the lack of grids, but ignore it atm haha

I know I'm a few days late to this thread, so I'm not sure if OP is still gonna check up on it but if you want a clean, professional, and modern look for your portfolio take a look at OT's portfolio themes. They're honestly fantastic
