Should photography be considered an art form?
All you do pretty much is fuck around with camera settings, push the button, then fuck around with it some more in photoshop. There isn't much skill involved since you're just taking pictures of shit other people have already made most of the time or you're paying a bunch of money to go travel and take pictures of nature. The only time photography can be seen as something cool or interesting is when you take pictures of things that are once in a life time or in dangerous settings, but that isn't really a skill thing but more about just being at the right place at the right time. An example of this would be of that picture with some riot somewhere in the middle east with the golden ratio... I don't have it, but I would appreciate if somebody posted it. So should photography be considered a form of art despite it not involving much skill?
