before the World Cup and Olympics here in Brazil, Canon gave FULL access to every camera and lenses they have for every photographer in site to shoot the event!
Getting inside their room was like getting inside that white room from Matrix. All you need was to put your name on paper with what gear were you taking to what place you'd use it, then drop the JPGs, and get paid for it. All the gear later was sold as refurbished. So it became a fucking nice deal to many pro photographers!
That's one of the reasons why South America have most of their photographers using canons or Sony with metabones on it
This wasn't about photography or anything, it was pure MARKETING as it finest. And they even showed to the world that BLIND people can also be a professional photographer!
