You can find kodak gold 200, 3 packs of 24 exposure for 12$ at walmart in Canada. I buy black and white iliford hp5 from a local photography club, 36exp for 5$ each. I also use lots of expired film, toss a wanted ad on craigslist

Depends upon your country, you mail them your film, they either mail back prints, or send you scans.

Then you're golden, also, developing isn't very hard, especially black and white, I developed this roll, and scanned it on a flatbed, turned out alright

Man sometimes I wish I had a digital with the same profile that was more than just a point and shoot but cameras like that are really expensive.

any film is decent, I've mostly tested cameras by taking pictures, I'm sure there will be a shop in your area that sells film, probably someone nearby who develops it too. If you just want to take good pictures, digital is probably the way to go. Check out the film general, here is a photo with kodak gold 200 for reference, forgive the bad scan.

well film turns out to be more expensive on the long run and I've actually managed to improve my skills more since i got my a6000 than the whole time i was shooting on minolta x-700. the eos m is more than a point and shoot and with an adapter you can use vintage lens

Depends what you want and how much you're willing to spend. Want small sony? A6500, it's pretty expensive though, and sony seems to have abandoned the aps-c e-mount, no lenses for the last 4 years so you have to get full frame lenses, and you might as well get a7ii. First generation a7 series is not worth it, barely usable junk. Stay nikon? D7100. There's also fuji system, some like it, some don't. X-T1 is helluva camera for the current price though, combined with the 18-55 and 35/2, that's a decent kit.

What ever you do, buy used if you can trust the seller.

I see this pop up a lot and it’s pretty misleading. The only real hole in Sony’s APS-C lens lineup is something like a 17-55/2.8 (ie, fast normal zoom). They’ve pretty much got any other APS-C lens you might want. The reason they haven’t released any crop lenses in four years is that they don’t really particularly need to.

well for starters theres no reason to use an om10 over an om1 unless you're a poorfag, secondly always assume any film you camera you buy has lighleaks, thirdly check the shutter and winding mechanism work properly before you load it, lastly aways assume seleniun light meters are always broken so don't rely just on the battery if you have the quartz model.
