Is there such thing as “the right gear will get you going”? I have a Nikon D90 that i almost never used. Recently i bumped into /p/ and got obsessed with photography again, i’ve been browsing a lot of great photos and cool gears, fantasizing about going places with my dream camera, while NOT using my D90 to go out taking pictures. Recently i found moral justification that “my camera is too big, and i want smaller mirrorless”. My DSLR just doesn’t make me want to hold it and go out. A lot of cameras makes me want to buy them and hold them and go outside taking pictures but is there such thing as “the right camera will actually get you really shooting”? Or is this just another consumerism? I really like G85 and GX85, will i actually go somewhere to take pictures if i buy one of them?
