sounds about right for $100. mine was about $150 with 50k clicks and goin strong. If the shutter dies you still have yourself a fairly useful bludgeoning device to fend off muggers with. If the shutter doesn't die, and you end up upgrading down the line (to FF for ex), it's always handy one to have in the bag esp when you need more reach than your longest tele on FF, or triggering flash, etc
